In 2017 hot-rolled metal consumption in Russia totaled 8.96 million tons. NLMK share was 17.5%.
According to the group regional sales director Vladislav Ovchinnikov, in cold-rolled sheet NLMK share was 35.8% out of 3.26 million tons consumed, galvanized metal – 20.8% (3.04 million tons), and polymer-coated metal – 20.9% (1.88 million tons).
On the bars market the situation is the same. Rebars consumption last year reached 6.75 million tons, with NLMK share at 18.1%, metal wares – 0.98 million tons and 20.4% respectively.
This year the group intends to sell 1964 thousand tons of flat rolled metal directly, and 1929 thousand tons in the regions, as well as 101 thousand tons of bars directly, 1136 thousand tons in the regions and 292 thousand tons in retail. (Ukrainian metal)
