This year steel consumption in EU is expected to grow by 1.9% YoY, just like last year.
According to Eurofer, in 2019 growth demand for steel will drop to 1.4%.
In 2017 steel imports to EU decreased by 1% because of the trade protection measures. Thus, imports from Ukraine dropped by 31%, from Russia – by 32%, and from China – by 41%. (Ukrainian metal)
