Kazakhstan Electrolysis Works has shipped the first ever batch of liquid aluminum to Giessenhaus LLC.
“The volume of the batch was 5 tons. In just 1 hour all the metal has been loaded into a special vacuum-ladle, which keeps the required temperature. The delivery time was around an hour and a half. During delivery aluminum lost just about 20 degrees of its temperature, which was some 800 degrees C”, the company reported.
The companies started cooperating last year. Since then KEZ has supplied over 170 tons of aluminum billets to Giessenhaus. This year all the metal will be supplied in liquid form. (Ukrainian metal)
