In 2017 the throughput of the NMTP Group totaled 143517 thousand tons.
In particular, coal throughput grew by 14.1%, or by 247 thousand tons YoY, to 1994 thousand tons.
Iron ore throughput dropped by 7.9%, or by 235 thousand tons, to 2752 thousand tons, mostly because of the growth of domestic consumption, decrease of exports to Turkey, reorientation to the Eastern Europe, etc.
Ferrous metals and pig iron throughput was 11923 thousand tons, down by 6.5% YoY, or by 834 thousand tons.
Non-ferrous metals throughput increased by 10.1%, or by 111 thousand tons, to 1216 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
