In 2017 Belarus Iron and Steel Works increased revenue by 30% YoY despite new antidumping duties, imposed by some countries, to $1.2 billion.

Exports account for 85% of the total sales. Russia consumes 22.9% of BMZ metal. Other major importers are Israel, USA, Ukraine and Egypt.

In 2015 the company commissioned the bar and wire mill, the largest investment project in 5 years. In 2016 the new mill produced 484.3 thousand tons of metal, with 381 thousand tons valued at $133 million sold. Exports share was 83.2%.

In January-November 2017 the mill produced 583.3 thousand tons of rolled metal.

In June 2017 BMZ finished paying out its 10-year loan of 140 million euro received from DZ Bank AG and Bayerische Landesbank for the construction of the pipe shop. The company has also paid $32 million for the loan of the reconstruction of the steel smelting furnace No. 1. (Ukrainian metal)
