In 2017 ferrous scrap procuring companies will amass 3.7 million tons of scrap, and 80% (2.96 million tons) will be in the shade. As the result the budget will get only 53.3 million UAH.
“One of the main issues is the deshading of the scrap market”, Ukrmetallurgprom president Alexander Kalenkov believes.
According to him, in case the scrap market is completely legalized, payments to the budget will increase 20-fold. (Ukrainian metal)
