In 2017 Izhstal has increased sales of speed steel products by 47% YoY.
The main consumers of this steel are local military and car manufacturers: Kalashnikov Concern, Kazan Helicopter Works, Sukhoy, Kamaz, UAZ, etc.
The products are also exported to Belarus (MAZ and Belcard).
Izhstal is the only Russian producer of cold-rolled belt of speed steels with the thickness of 1.5-3.8 mm. It is also exported to Mogilev and Minsk Tool Works. (Ukrainian metal)
