In 2020 Glencore plans to commission the Zhairem Mining and Processing Works with the capacity of 160 thousand tons of zinc per year.
This asset will replace the Maleevsky and Tishinsky mines, the operation of which will be stopped in 2023.
Glencore expects the demand for zinc on world markets to grow in the next couple of years. (Ukrainian metal)
