Omutninsk Iron and Steel Works is continuing the technical revamping of its repair-mechanical shop.
“The main task of the shop staff is to provide the works divisions with spare parts and jigging. Lately under the technical revamp program we have purchased three CNC machines”, the shop director Yuri Prilukov said.
In December the shop received a new Hercules mill. The machine produces rolls. It can process parts weighing up to 5 tons.
The modernization of the shop machinery increases labor efficiency, improves product quality and allows quickly fulfilling orders on rolls manufacture. (Ukrainian metal)
