In January-September Beloretsk Iron and Steel Works supplied some 30 thousand tons of spring wire to the manufacturers of furniture. Around 1.6 million mattresses could be made out of it.
BMK supplies the 1.4-2.2 mm diameter wire to over 80 local companies.
“At present BMK covers some 70% of the local market demand for spring wire. We are also developing exports, supplying this product to around 10 foreign customers”, the company CEO Victor Kamelin said. (Ukrainian metal)
