The main way of producing steel in October was oxygen-converter method, accounting for 71.7% (1.36 million tons out of 1.896 million tons).
Then comes open-hearth furnace with 22.12% (419 thousand tons), followed by electric arc furnace (6.18%, 117 thousand tons).
In January-October oxygen-converter shops produced 12.3 million tons of steel out of 17.7 million tons (69.3%), open-hearth furnaces – 4.1 million tons (23.21%) and electric arc furnaces – 1.32 million tons (7.49%).
In October continuous cast method accounted for 54.34% of the output and in 100 months – 52.26%. (Ukrainian metal)
