Russian oil and gas pipe maker TMK expects that the U.S.’ demand for the company’s products will double to around 5 million tons in 2017, Sergei Alekseyev, director for global marketing, reported.
“Thanks to the U.S. market recovery demand will be about twice as high as in 2016 and will amount to around 5 million tons,” he said.
The company also expects demand to remain flat at around 5 million tons in 2018 and to rise to 5.4 million tons in 2019 and to 5.5 million tons in 2020. TMK’s strategy provides for U.S. demand for its products at above 6 million tons by 2022.
In Russia, demand is expected at around 2.3 million tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
