Since the beginning of the year Mednogorsk Copper and Sulfur Works has sent 1136 tons of ferrous scrap valued at 12.6 million rubles to Nadezhdinsky Iron and Steel Works and Electrostal Tyumeni.
The main source of scrap is disassembly of old machinery and metal structures. One of the latest objects to be disassembled and turned into scrap was the burning site to produce limestone, constructed in 1950s and shut down in 2012.
Consumers have been sent over 100 tons of scrap, and 150 tons more are being prepared for shipping. Earnings form this sale will amount to 2.5 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
