Raspadskaya miners have yielded 5 million tons of coal since the year started. The symbolical stone with an inscription “5 million tons” was handed to the company management.
“5 million tons is a major milestone for the mine. Only a couple of companies reach it in Russia. In 2018 we intend to modernize the 6-33 long face machinery to keep development going”, the company CEO Sergey Stepanov said.
At present miners are developing the 10 and 6-6a beds, at the same time preparing a new long face at the 7-7a bed. Monthly three sites yield some 700 thousand tons of coal. June saw the maximum output at 720 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
