Zaporizhstal has postponed for half a year the construction of the oxygen-converter shop because of the EU duties on hot-rolled metal.
According to the company CEO Rostislav Shurma, in 5 year Zaporizhstal invested 8.5 billion UAH into modernization, having assembled gas-purification equipment at all of its 6 sintering machines.
The company has been pondering the construction of the oxygen-converter shop for the past 7 years. Its construction would have considerably decreased pollution. (Ukrainian metal)
