The Pechersk district court of Kiev has arrested the assets of the largest ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant, Marganets Mining and Processing Works and Ordzhonikidze Mining and Processing Works under the Privatbank embezzlement case.
The General Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the embezzlement of 19 billion UAH provided to Privatbank in 2008-2016 by the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to the prosecutors, Privatbank officials have lent the funds to their controlled enterprises under some dubious contracts. But the goods were never supplied and the funds not returned.
In particular, the court has arrested 189 NZF objects, 246 MGOK objects and 177 OGOK objects (locomotives, tank wagons, wagons, etc.). (Ukrainian metal)
