Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Works has produced the 700-millionth ton of iron ore concentrate.
The first ton of the concentrate was received in November 1972. At that time the capacity of the works was 7.5 million tons of ore per year. Now its capacities are much higher – to produce 100 million tons of concentrate the company needed 5 years. The 600-millionth ton was produced in 2012. (Ukrainian metal)
