European Commission has decided to impose a fixed tax on each ton of hot-rolled iron, alloyed and unalloyed steel originating from Ukraine, Russia, Iran and Brazil instead of minimal import prices.
The fixed tax per ton will become the final protection against hot-rolled metal imports from these countries.
The tax for Russian manufacturers will be as follows: NLMK – 53.3 euro per ton, MMK – 58 euro, and Severstal – 17.6 euro.
The tax for Metinvest is not stated. Previously it was suggested to implement a 19.4% duty. (Ukrainian metal)
