Sudan has called on companies and investors from Russia to help its mining industry to develop, Mining Minister Hashim Ali Salim said.
“Sudan has discovered reserves of 35 metals, but it produces only 13. We call on all companies to invest in other metals and in production and processing of them. The doors are open to all Russian companies,” he noted.
Sudan plans to establish a precious metals exchange until the end of the year in the capital city of Khartoum, which is to help the country solve the problem with gold smuggling. In 2017, the country’s gold production may reach 100 tons against 93 tons produced in 2016, he said. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
