In January-August coal enterprises produced 23.592 million tons of coal, down by 9.4% YoY.
According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, coking coal output decreased by 24.5%, to 4497.3 thousand tons, power-generating coal – by 5%, to 19094.7 thousand tons.
In August Ukraine produced 2543.2 thousand tons of coal, down by 26.1% YoY.
The ministry-controlled enterprises decreased coal output by 20.9% YoY, to 3143.1 thousand tons in 8 months, including coking coal down by 49.8%, to 567.6 thousand tons, and power coal by 9.4%, to 2575.5 thousand tons.
The Donetsk region mines in January-August produced 7953.6 thousand tons of coal, down by 22.8% YoY, Lugansk region mines – 1.556 million tons, down by 43.6%, Dniepropetrovsk – 13.21 million tons, up by 10.6%, Lviv – 984.4 thousand tons, down by 6.9%, and Volyn region mines – 76.4 thousand tons, down by 43.1%.
