Some private Ukrainian companies are buying power coal in Russia at $78-82 per ton.

But, according to the minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik, these deliveries could be stopped at any moment by a decision of a single person.

“I can not say that Russian coal is cheap, but some companies do buy it. The coal we buy from South Africa costs $97 per ton, from USA – $111-113”, he said.

He believes that the situation with coal deliveries from Russia is similar to that one, when the coal has been delivered from the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. (Ukrainian metal)
