Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has produced 500 thousand tons of rails since its rail-beam mill has started operating.
Most of the rails – some 90% – were sent to the Russian Railways.
In 2016 the Railways received 270 thousand tons of rails, this year it is planned to supply 330 thousand tons.
ChMK rails are used in reconstruction and construction of new railways. (Ukrainian metal)
