Zakamensk, mining for tungsten in the Republic of Buryatia, is working on creating a tungsten manufacture at the Jidinsky Tungsten-Molybdenum Works.
To produce tungsten the company will use ammonium paratungstate, obtained from the concentrate, as raw materials.
At first the company will produce trial batches, and in 5 years it is intended to start full-scale manufacture.
This is the new type of product for the works, as it used to produce concentrate only. The new technology will allow the company to manufacture tungsten oxides and carbides, as well as metallic tungsten. (Ukrainian metal)
