In January-June Ferrexpo, owner of Poltava and Yeristovo Mining and Processing Works, decreased iron ore pellets output by 9.8% YoY, to 5.16 million tons.

According to the group, the 65% Fe content pellets output decreased by 8.5%, to 4.902 million tons, that of 62% Fe content – by 29.1%, to 257.9 thousand tons.

The manufacture of pellets of the group’s own ore dropped by 9.9% YoY, to 5.139 million tons, including 4.88 million tons of 65% Fe content pellets, down by 8.5%.

“The decrease in the output was the result of a 55-day repairs of the pelletizing line”, the group noted.

In Q2 pellets output decreased by 10.6% YoY and by 3.3% QoQ, to 2.536 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
