The minority shareholder of the Industrial Union of Donbass Corporation Sergey Taruta has denied the fact of holding negotiations with Metinvest as to the sale of Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine.
“As far as I know, this is not true. There are talks with Metinvest as to the debt settlement. But this is not about selling the works, this is about resuming its operation”, he said.
As to the actions of the Russian shareholders to resume operation at DMK, Taruta said, that a part of them had distanced themselves from the problem.
“I haven’t spoken with them since March 2014 because of the political issues. The three months that DMK was idle were enough to make some decisions. Perhaps they are afraid of hanging out of Russia and being hit on the head”, he noted. (Ukrainian metal)
