Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works has been visited by the deputies of the European Parliament, diplomats and the Verkhovnaya Rada deputies within the regional environment monitoring.
The delegation got acquainted with the manufacturing process, evaluated the environment program and witnessed the aftermath of the shelling.
Despite the location of the works in the military zone, it is still functioning and taking care of the cleanness of the manufacturing process.
During all the military activities Metinvest has invested 177.4 million UAH into Avdiivka environment projects.
The works has been in the active military zone since June 2014. Since then 320 shells exploded on the territory, 12 employees perished and over 50 were wounded. Avdiivka Coke has suspended operation for 15 times, and has been completely cut off from electric lines for over 200 times. (Ukrainian metal)
