The European Commission has started an antidumping investigation of the low-carbon ferrochromium imports from Russia, China and Turkey.

The investigation was started at the request of the sole EU manufacturer of this product – Elektrowerk Weisweiler, a part of Afarak. The investigation will cover April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017.

According to the Eurostat, in 2016 the three countries supplied 91 million euro worth of raw materials, with Russia supplying 29.5 million euro, from the total volume of 162 million euro. (Ukrainian metal)
