During the Metal Structures 2017 exhibition the application of used pipes in construction has been discussed.
“Steel pipes are used more and more often in various metal structures, and it is important to pay attention to the quality of the material, as it affects the quality of the structures and buildings as well as the safety of people. So the problem of used pipes in construction is urgent”, the deputy director of the Fund for pipe industry development Victor Visochkin said.
According to the experts, every year over 1 million tons of used pipes are illegally used in construction. The used pipes market originated at the beginning of 2000, and is rather shady. Used pipes are mostly sold without the documents.
So the fund wants control over used pipes increased. (Ukrainian metal)
