Chepets Mechanical Works, a part of TVEL, has started producing large ingots of heat-resistant alloys on the basis of VIT-1 and VTI-4 titanium intermetallides.
The company can now produce large ingots with the diameter of 450 mm and the weight of 1480 kg for aviation industry.
In 5 years ChMZ started producing ingots and semi-finished products of 19 alloys on the basis of titanium. 8 titanium alloys were introduced in 2016, and 5 – this year. (Ukrainian metal)
