Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Works finishes construction of the casting complex – in two years Rusal has invested around $37 million in the project.
When the complex is put into operation the company will be able to produce large cylindrical ingots, which are currently in demand all over the world.
In late May the first trial batch of ingots was produced with diameter of 305 mm. Soon a new batch with diameter of 406 and 457 mm will be produced.
The company has already found a customer for the new ingots.
The capacity of the new casting complex will be 120 thousand tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
