The Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Works has already decreased air pollution by 30% and intends to decrease it by 8% more by 2018.
According to the company statement, this year it will put into operation a new gas-purifying machine. The company is also creating the continuous monitoring system to be put into operation in 2018.
“By 2016 KrAZ has invested 1.135 billion rubles into environmental development, and plans 1 billion more for 2017. The second stage of the environmental program of KrAZ is being implemented. The first stage allowed decreasing air pollution by 30%. By the end of 2018 the company will have switched to new standards, resulting in the pollution decrease by 8% more”, KrAZ said in a statement.
