Ukrzaliznytsia intends to send only 7 cargo trains through Kamysh-Zarya – Volnovakha railroad route.
“And that’s when we need 18! We have raw materials enough for one day of operation. And we have informed the railway administration”, Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works CEO Yuri Zinchenko wrote on his Facebook page.
He believes that the company could shut down its blast furnace for the second time this month because of the lack of raw materials.
“I do hope they will not foil raw materials delivery and we will not have to shut down for the second time. We also have a request to Ukrzaliznytsia – please do inform us of the planned decrease in throughput at least 10 days in advance”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
