Rusal has announced the completion of Boksitogorsk Alumina Works modernization.
Within the project, lasting from October 2015 till May 2017 the works received grinding and processing equipment to increase the corundum output to 79 thousand tons.
In particular, the company increased refractory capacities by 6 thousand tons, and abrasive – by 4 thousand tons per year.
Investments in the project totaled $1.65 million.
In 2016 the works sold 69 thousand tons of corundum products, the highest result in its history. (Ukrainian metal)
