The stock of anthracite coal at thermal power plants in a week decreased by 22.9%, to 30.5 thousand tons.
According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, all coal grades stocks at the thermal and heating power plants decreased in a week by 13.7%, to 90.6 thousand tons. At the same time stocks of gas and anthracite coal at TPPs increased by 7.5%, to 1.596 million tons.
Because of the coal shortage 5 Ukrainian TPPs and THPPs operating on anthracite have been shut down. Imports are not enough to compensate for the lack of coal. (Ukrainian metal)
