CEO of ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih Paramjit Kahlon has noted the growing attention of the country’s top authorities to the problems of the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine, improvement in the work of Ukrzaliznytsia, but opposed the initiative to increase railway tariffs for freight transportation by 25%.
“Today we have a very positive attitude. The Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman personally pays a lot of attention to the problems at the enterprise. He demonstrates the approach of supporting investors and attracting investments. And this should continue,” Kahlon said.
According to him, the work of Ukrzaliznytsia has also improved, although it is far from ideal, “there is still no world class in providing services.”
“There has been a significant improvement in the work of Ukrzaliznytsia – we are grateful to the state authorities for their assistance and daily improvement of work. It’s not perfect, but the situation is improving,” the head of the enterprise said.
Given this, the company CEO is convinced it is too premature to talk about raising tariffs. (Interfax-Ukraine/Ukrainian metal)
