In 2017 the Ministry of energy and coal industry expects the uranium concentrate output to increase by 21.5% YoY, or by 215.9 tons, to 1.221 thousand tons.

According to the ministry statement, the forecast for 2018 is 1.501 thousand tons (up by 22.9% YoY), for 2019 – 2.48 thousand tons (up by 65.2%), and for 2020 – 2.48 thousand tons.

In November 2016 the VostGOK CEO Alexander Sorokin said the company expected to keep 2016-2017 output on the 2015 level – around 1 thousand tons. Output increase could only be achieved by investments into the Novokonstantinovskaya mine, but even with enough funds in 2017 this might not happen until 2018-2019.

Ingulskaya and Smolinskaya mines can no longer provide output increase. At the same time, with enough investments Novokonstantinovskaya mine could boost ore extraction, which would allow obtaining 1.5-2.5 thousand tons of uranium concentrate per year.

In 2015 VostGOK received 13.273 million UAH of net profits as opposed to 233.599 million UAH of net losses in 2014. 2015 revenue increased 2.1-fold, or by 1.495 billion UAH, to 2.844 billion UAH.

VostGOK in 2015 increased uranium concentrate manufacture by 5.8% YoY, or by 54 tons, to 980 tons, in 2016 – by 2.6%, to 1.005 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
