In January-February Ukraine imported 2.46 million tons of coal valued at $357.59 million.
According to the State Fiscal Service, Russia supplied $247.24 million worth of coal, or 69.1% of the total imports, USA – $65.4 million (18.3%), and Kazakhstan – $20.45 million (5.7%).
Other countries supplied 6.9% of all coal, or $24.51 million.
Coal imports in January-February increased 2.1-fold YoY.
In January Ukraine imported 1.25 million tons of coal valued at $170.9 million. Ukrainian TPPs had to switch to importing coal because of the railroad blockade of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. (Ukrainian metal)
