The Seversk Pipe Works, a part of TMK, has put into operation the steel arc furnace waste-heat utilization machine. The machine is used to utilize the waste heat, emerging in the arc furnace during cooling.
The new machine allows the works to put around 5 gKal of heat per hour to good use – supplying it to the plant’s consumers at a lower price.
The project cost 25 million rubles. The company plans to pay off this money in a year. (Ukrainian metal)
