The management of the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has initiated a dialogue between the Donbass blockade participants and the employees.
“On behalf of all the personnel I would like to invite the heads of the railroad blockers to our works. We would like to organize the meeting with our employees, simple metallurgists, who are working in tough conditions, sustaining their families and looking for stability and peace”, the company CEO Yuri Zinchenko said.
He believes such a dialogue could help parties reach mutual understanding.
“If the arguments of the management are not enough for the blockers, perhaps they will listen to simple workers. Perhaps they will be able to explain their actions and how they see the future of our companies, of the industry, and of the whole country”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
