In January Russian railroads transported 31.4 million tons of coal, up by 9.9% YoY. This is the highest result in all the Russian history.

Coal export deliveries increased by 20% YoY. Japan (up by 20%), China (up by 25%), Ukraine (up by 20%), UK (up by 10%) and Germany (3.5-fold) showed the largest increase in imports.

In 2017 Vostochny port intends to put into operation the third stage of its sea terminal, which will allow it to export 39 million tons of coal per year.

Development projects in the port of Vanino will increase throughput from 19 million tons of coal to 24 million tons this year. (Ukrainian metal)
