Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works output has dropped by 20% since the beginning of February.
“In February sinter production decreased by 16%, or by 100 thousand tons, pig iron, steel and lime – by 20% on average”, the company CEO Yuri Zinchenko reported.
According to him, since the beginning of the railroad blockade the works has been suffering from coke, anthracite and limestone shortages.
“We had the undersupply of coke on the level of 35%. All the coke we receive comes from Avdiivka. Undersupply of limestone is 50%. Anthracite – 60%”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
