Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works, a part of the Industrial Union of Donbass, has started replacing coke from Alchevskkoks, blocked in the ATO zone, with deliveries from Poland.
As of February 21, there was a threat of the works halting altogether.
“Every day we try to find money to pay for the daily norm of one blast furnace. We buy some of the coke from Evraz Yuzhkoks and some from abroad – from Poland. But because of the low finances and the high coke price such deliveries are not frequent”, DMZ reported. (Ukrainian metal)
