Railroad transportation of coal in January increased by 20.7% YoY, to 12.99 million tons, with exports up by 20.8%, to 12.99 million tons, and imports down by 75%, to 2.85 thousand tons.
Export deliveries to the port of Vostochny via railroad in January totaled 2.75 million tons, up by 12.5% YoY. Port of Vanino received 2.11 million tons, up by 9.7%, Ust-Luga – 1.78 million tons, up by 62.7%, Nakhodka – 1.15 million tons, up by 22.3%, Murmansk – 1.09 million tons, down by 4.5%.
Port of Vostochny’s share in the coal exports reached 21%, that of Vanino – 16%, of Ust-Luga – 14%.
Import railroad transportation of coal from port of Vyborg in January totaled 2.44 thousand tons.
In 2016 Russia transported 142.9 million tons of coal via railroad to the ports, up by 6.6% YoY, including 142.84 million tons for export (up by 6.6%) and 57.35 thousand tons for import (up by 5.8%). (Ukrainian metal)
