In December 2016 Mariupol Ilyich produced 201 thousand tons of rolled metal, 241 thousand tons of steel and 349 thousand tons of pig iron.
The company is still experiencing difficulties with coke deliveries because of the Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works tough situation.
“We usually produce around 11 thousand tons of pig iron using some 5.5 thousand tons of coke. But because of the breaks in delivery from Avdiivka we had to produce 6 thousand tons of pig iron using 3 thousand tons of coke”, the blast furnace shop director Alexander Naumenko said.
At present one of the blast furnaces has been stopped, and the capacities of the other three have been reduced. (Ukrainian metal)
