Investments into the Sukhoi Log gold deposit are estimated at 100 billion rubles, with the precious metal yield at 60 tons per year.
“Sukhoi Log has the largest deposits of gold in Russia. 56-60 tons of gold could be mined there. Now Irkutsk region yields 22 tons of gold, that is the 6th result across the country. With Sukhoi Log we could become the 1st not only in Russia, but all over the world as well”, the minister of natural resources and ecology of the Irkutsk region Andrei Kryuchkov said.
Reserves of Sukhoi Log are estimated at 1953 tons of gold and 1541 tons of silver. The share of the deposits in the total gold reserves of the country is 28%. (Ukrainian metal)
