In 2016 Korshunovsky Mining and Processing Works, a part of Mechel, mined 8.2 million tons of ore, up by 4% YoY.
Iron ore concentrate output remained almost flat YoY at 2.7 million tons.
All the products were sold on the local market, with 98% of the iron ore concentrate supplied to Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works.
Korshunovsky and Rudnogorsky quarries of KGOK mined half of ore each – 4.1 million tons, with the former increasing output by 25% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
