In December 2016 Ukraine (not taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and the ATO zone) mined 2.6 million tons of coal, up by 3% YoY.
According to the State Service of Statistics, the output dropped by 0.5% MoM.

Coal output fell after the military activities in Donbass started in spring 2014, as the most mines are situated there.
