In 2016 Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works 2000 hot-rolled mill produced 5948 thousand tons of hot-rolled metal, which is an annual record in the whole history of the mill operation.
Records have been marked for the third year in a row. In 2014 the mill produced 5930 thousand tons, in 2015 – 5935 thousand tons.
The 2000 hot-rolling mill was put into operation in 1994. In 2005-2008 it underwent a massive overhaul.
At present it is one of the most productive and modern mills in Russia. (Ukrainian metal)
