SUEK has officially exceeded the level of coalmining at 100 million tons.
“100 million tons that SUEK mined for the first time in its history is an important milestone for our company, as well as for the whole Russian coal industry. This is the result of massive investments of almost 200 billion rubles for the last 10 years. And yet we continue increasing coal output and deliveries, despite the bad market situation under a heavy competition on behalf of the largest world suppliers. We strive to increase exports to Asian markets, where the developing economies are in the constant demand of fuel. So 100 million tons of coal in a year is not a limit for SUEK. We could mine more”, the group CEO Vladimir Rashevsky said.
In 2016 SUEK is expected to mine 104 million tons of coal. (Ukrainian metal)
