Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works has completed the project on refractory shop 4 electric air filters reconstruction, started in 2015. Thanks to the project the pollution from shop decreased by 18%.
“The massive reconstruction of the filters started in 2015. The investments totaled 480 million rubles. Taking the new machinery into account, we now have gas-purifying equipment at 9 of the 11 furnaces in the refractory shop”, the company industrial environment director Sergey Evseev said.
